Bio

After having seen me stop crying at 0.6 years when hearing the Toccata in D minor on the radio, my nurse, herself musician, cried : "Geee..." (or Maybe something most frenchy ).
The night come, she told to my parents :
"Laurent should have the musical hearing, because he stopped crying when the first notes... the first three notes : "ti-la-li" of the Bach's Toccata sounded on the BBC this morning... He will surely be a good musician one day"...
My parents politely agreed and they forgot this prophecy.
Anyway, they all understood the trick to make me stop crying: "BBC light program", the favorite radio station of my father, a 2nd World War's volunteer fighter, who joined the US Army at Oran in 43, and steeped in American culture...
They finally bought a vinyl record player, and the famous Toccata and other Chopin and Liszt Rhapsodies and one day, my nurse whose the Opera singer husband had just died, decided to give me his piano. I was about three years old. I have been very happy. The very first minute that I saw it. After having heard that I was Musician during all this time, I was convinced that him (the piano) and me had something to do together.
But she said :
- and you'll gonna take music lessons at the Conservatory...
My happyness stopped immediatly.
- oooh Nooo...
Why ? Why the idea of lessons, into this 'Conservatory' was frightening me ? It was the first time I was hearing this word. And also the word 'lessons'
